Gerry Boylan

Life is quite a ride! Along with being a student all my life, I've been a monk, camp counselor, high school teacher, drug and alcohol rehab counselor, family program coordinator, relapse specialist, adolescent counselor, private practice therapist, and most importantly, husband and grandfather.

My books are an expression of my own life's journey, and my search for wholeness and healing. I am grateful for every part of the trip and I am so moved by all of those who have shared their life with me and let me share mine with them.

Along with playing with grandkids, my favorite pastimes are photography and music. I sing and play guitar, and periodically get lost in Photoshop.

I like to describe myself as someone who was born in the '40's, grew up in the '50's and will always remain a child of the '60's.

Below is just a little formal piece that will keep the intellectuals happy.

GERRY BOYLAN, author of Christ In Training, is a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor, Certified Trainer in Holotropic Breathwork, Reiki Master/Teacher, and Certified Hypnotherapist. Holding degrees in Biology, Transpersonal Psychology, and Comparative Religion, he has extensive experience in conducting retreats, educational and experiential workshops, talks,and seminars.

Currently Gerry is in private practice in Louisville.s
