PJ grew up in a small town in southern Illinois. She received B.S. and M.A. degrees in Communications from Southern Illinois University.

As a writer, she was named the first Women's Editor for the Green Bay Daily News; penned a political satire series, Rockslide U.S.A.; and published a guidebook to Wisconsin's Brown and Door Counties.

When PJ and her husband, Don moved to Arkansas, she entered the field of retail with a position at the new Wal-Mart super center in Ash Flat. A year later PJ transferred to the company's General Offices in Bentonville, Arkansas with a position in U.S. and International Marketing. As a project manager in the signing department, she had the opportunity to work with associates in China, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Canada.

PJ began a course of study in Reiki at the Anja Center for Reiki in Fayetteville, Arkansas and became a Traditional Reiki Master in the Gray lineage in 2002. She has been teaching Reiki ever since.

"Over the years, several people have told me that I should write a book. I considered the task, but never really had a subject that motivated me to begin a serious project - until now. I believe this is a worthy endeavor that could benefit the kind folks who live here in Sharp County, Arkansas. This is the time to build a hospital here using the positive approach. I used my novel as an action step in the Law of Attraction process, creating a fictional story of a rural village in need of a hospital. As interest in our project grows, we are beginning to see positive results."
