Sandeep Koranne

Sandeep Koranne lives with his wife and son in Portland, Oregon.

Sandeep Koranne was born in New Delhi, India in 1976. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering, and a Master's degree in VLSI Design Tools and Technology. Since 1997 he has been working in the field of Electronic Design Automation, where he focuses on graph algorithms, computational geometry and parallel programming.

He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals such as IEEE Trans. VLSI, IEEE Trans. on CAD, Kluwer's JETTA, IEEE Test Conference, Springer-Verlag, SIAM, and many more. He has published 2 books and a research monograph.

He has worked on parallel implementation of graph algorithms on the CELL Broadband Processor, and is an expert on Open Source technologies.

In addition to his work in computer science and applied mathematics, Sandeep is also an exponent of Sitar, and Indian classical musical instrument, and he regularly performs in Portland and Bay Area.
