Anne M. Picard

Anne M. Picard spent many years as a professional working with children who had learning challenges of many kinds in a elementary school setting. She has many interests: bonsai trees, gardening, quilting, traveling adventures, volunteering and spiritual listening. She is now also"refired" into the fields of art, book illustration, and poetry. Her first children's book is entitled PEACE AND PANCAKES. A fun loving folk tale about a young dragon who learns to be a peacemaker. The book is in English and Spanish with a CD included with sound effects and narration.

Anne feels that the power of living today invites us to fill the world gradually with peaceful and compassionate energy. She has spoken to many parent groups, communities about living deliberately more peacefully and teaching our children about peacemaking skills. She also speaks on writing and illustration. She lives in Vadnais Heights, Minnesota.
