Tom Hannah

Tom and Tess Hannah wrote this book after raising their 4 children, who were the inspiration for many of the poems. Shel Silverstein, a favorite author and illustrator in the Hannah household for many years, also gave them inspiration. Tom was the "outside the box" inventor of many of the poems. Tess, a language arts teacher for over 20 years, added her own rhymes, and all of the illustrations. The book deals with many of life's biggest problems, such as finding two socks that match, or discovering a way to make a huge pile of peas disappear without Mom noticing. This is a book that will entertain you and sometimes surprise you with a humorous childlike look at life. This poetry is for children, but also for adults who still remember what it was like to be young.
