Christopher Gerteis

Christopher Gerteis is an Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary Japanese History at The University of Tokyo and SOAS University of London. He is also Founding Series Editor of the scholarly monograph series SOAS Studies in Modern and Contemporary Japan, published in association with the UK publisher Bloomsbury. He is currently working on a book examining the intersection of consumer capitalism and modern heritage in contemporary Japan.
