Antonio Scott Thompson

Antonio Thompson received his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky in 2006 and has taught at the USMA at West Point. He is the author of "German Jackboots on Kentucky Bluegrass: Housing German Prisoners of War in Kentucky, 1942-1946" (Diversion Press, 2008) and "Men in German Uniform: POWs in America During World War II" (University of Tennessee Press, 2010). His recent article "Winning the War Behind the Lines: Colonel George A. Chescheir and the Axis POWs at Fort Benning, Georgia" appeared in The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society. He is happy to receive information and personal experiences regarding the housing of Axis POWs during World War II.
