Kim Ely Morris

Kim Ely Morris has lived the majority of her life in northwest North Carolina. She is married and has two children. Through the Eyes of Love is her first writing adventure. Kim has worked in the elementary education field over a decade. Her inspiration for the children's book, Through the Eyes of Love comes from the eye disease with which she was diagnosed many years ago. The disease called Ocular Histoplasmosis has greatly reduced her visual acuity. Kim wrote the book with young children in mind. Her hope is to educate them about sight differences. Whether it is a person with no sight or a child learning to wear glasses for the first time, this book encompasses it all. The book not only teaches but strongly emphasizes that even though we may all be different, we can and will be loved by others! Diversity is such a major part of our world today.
