James R. Lindsay is a native of Washington, D.C.

He is President of The Lindsay Group LLC, a management consulting firm specializing in grant writing, fund raising, strategic planning and training.

His firm is a SBA Hubzone certified small business.

He has been a consultant to or has been CEO of nonprofit agencies and for profit businesses for over 30 years.

Mr. Lindsay serves as a grant reviewer for the US Depts. of Health and Human Services, Education and Commerce, the National Corporation for Community Service and the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC.

He is certified as an experienced grant writer by the DC Mayor's Office of Grants and Partnership Services.

He knows the pitfalls of grant writing as well as the joy of winning million dollar+ awards!

He is passionate about nonprofit agencies managing with excellence.

He is a member of the DC's Mayor's Reentry & Ex-Offenders Commission.

He is a member of the Alpha Omega Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

He is an adjunct professor of sociology at the Northern Virginia Community College.

In 2009 he co-authored a book with his wife, E. Marie Wilson-Lindsay, entitled "Get in Line and Win! A Comprehensive Manual for Grant Writing for Raising Funds From All Sources."
