Alicia Castillo Holley, PhD, MBA, MSci, is the Founder of the single Family Office: Wealthing, and also the CEO of Wealthing VC Club, a multiclass LLC investment alliance giving ultra-high-net-worth investors and family offices curated access to hard-tech and deep-tech deals — spanning space, nuclear energy, defense-tech, semiconductors, ag-tech, life sciences, and cybersecurity. Under her leadership, Wealthing has backed 74+ companies, producing 9 exits, 4 unicorns, and 3 IPOs. She also leads the Wealthing Institute, an education platform for investors and entrepreneurs, and co-founded Box of Life, a nonprofit addressing hunger in Venezuela.
Castillo Holley coined the term "Wealthing®" as a systematic approach to building wealth through venture investing rather than luck. Her path began as a scientist — she presented her first academic paper at 16 and later led product development for a Bayer-Shell joint venture — before she turned to entrepreneurship, founding Chile's first seed capital fund and building the country's early venture capital and entrepreneurship curriculum. She has started or co-founded more than twenty companies, exiting several, and has lived and invested across Venezuela, Chile, Switzerland, Australia, Denmark, and the US before settling in Silicon Valley. She holds a PhD from the University of Western Australia and an MBA from Babson College.
She is the author of several books, including Funding Your Million Dollar Idea and Ten Unwealthy Habits, and hosts The Wealthing Podcast. She has two children, Daniel Chapellin Castillo (co-founder and COO of Wealthing) and Sara Perry, also am author who co-runs Box of Life.
