Javier de Prada Pareja

Javier De Prada Pareja is a historian and Jungian psychology specialist with over 30 years of research dedicated to the symbolic and unconscious dimensions of art.

He holds academic training in History and Psychology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as well as a Master’s degree in Art and New Technologies from Universidad Europea de Madrid. His work has been recognised in international literary competitions, including First Prize in the VI Concurso Internacional de Creación Literaria Miguel Hernández (2021).

Prada Pareja’s research on Francisco Goya and the Black Paintings has been referenced by the Museo Nacional del Prado in its official scholarly catalogue, placing his work within the broader academic conversation on one of the most enigmatic bodies of work in Western art.

His writing explores the intersection of art history, depth psychology, and symbolic interpretation, with a particular focus on the theories of Carl Gustav Jung and the role of the unconscious in the creative process.

He is also a visual artist, with exhibitions in Madrid and Rome.

Through his books, Prada Pareja offers readers a deeper understanding of art not only as an aesthetic experience, but as a psychological journey into the hidden structures of the human mind.
