A lifelong Scout and adult leader, David C. Scott has been researching the emergence of the worldwide Scouting movement for the past decade. Having compiled a large archive of documents pertaining to the early history of Scouting, he is an avid collector of original-edition books by the British and American founders of Scouting and related figures, as well as early handbooks and artifacts that he uses to illustrate his lectures and talks.
As a student of genealogy, Dave is a member in good standing of numerous lineal heredity societies including the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, Presidential Families of America, and the National Society Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims.
David C. Scott is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and holds a master's degree in applied economics from Southern Methodist University.
