I have a wild Corgi named Pepper, who is 9. She's adorable, but a handful. I live in the mountains and love to hike, bike, and run. Running is my favorite thing to do (besides writing!) and half marathons and marathons were the rule in the past. No longer, however. I currently run for fun--no races! I've put the time in to do a triathlon but that part of my life is over as well. The rule now is go out, get out, and be in nature. I'm a retired English professor and taught Native American studies, creative writing, detective fiction, creative nonfiction, and research writing. (Anything else the department deemed relevant.) Retirement is splendid, but I miss my students and their wonderful views on life and writing. I'm currently working on another novel and have an idea about yet another. No hints but stay tuned.
Update: Living in Arizona now! Those Montana winters! BRRR. What Happened to Ruby is off and running. Currently, into a new book. As before, stay tuned. Hiking along two lakes: Watson and Willow. Trails abound among cottonwoods, aspen, cedar, and pinion. Abundant water birds of all kinds create their own water world. Granite cliffs along the edges of Prescott (and the interior) go back 1.4 billion years! Very humbling. Makes me feel smaller than a neutrino and that's pretty small! As always, I live among miracles.
