"FANTASTIC!"

"What's the best part?"

"Hmmm, well thinking up new characters, creating new storylines and, oh yes, the very best part is meeting the children I write for."

"And what's the hardest part?"

"Making sure that I use exactly the right words, that's tougher than you think."

"Is writing all you do?"

"No, I take literacy and drama workshops in schools and libraries. And that is LOTS of fun!"

"Do you have any pets?"

"Yes I've got Ted an Old English Sheepdog who is just about the most laid-back dog on the planet!"

"How old are you?"

"Erm...."

"I know, you're 60 aren't you?"

All the above are questions I have been asked by children recently.And everything is true.

However I am NOT 60 (they just got me on a bad day obviously!!
