Jennifer A. Baima

Dr. Jennifer A. Baima is a physiatrist on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. A physiatrist is a doctor that specializes in exercise management of musculoskeletal conditions. A native of the Massachusetts suburbs, Dr. Baima went to her first Patriots game at age five (thanks to her favorite aunt). She initially went for the peanut M and Ms, but now she goes for love of the game.

While at the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Baima cultivated a love of sports medicine as a student athletic trainer. She worked with sports teams at Tulane University during medical school and Johns Hopkins during residency. She taught at Harvard Medical School while working at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation hospital where she discovered her passion for prehabilitation, or using exercise before surgery to improve outcomes after. She did three clinical trials in cancer prehabilitation while teaching at UMass Medical School and working at UMass Medical system. She is currently enjoying clinical medicine at The Orthopedic Center in Easton, Maryland.
