William Pillow

William Pillow was reared as a Southern Baptist Christian and once considered entering the Christian ministry. Instead, he was educated and practiced as a Virginia pharmacist. He was in commissioned service in the U.S. Air Force Medical Service Corps. He then worked for Eli Lilly and Company for thirty-four years. Much later, his urgent concerns about aging and his wife's lingering illnesses provoked questions about life and death seemingly not answered by his Christian upbringing. As a previous skeptic about the paranormal and metaphysical by training, he happened upon research by eminent professionals that suggested soul survival of bodily death. So he launched a never-ending search for credible reports about reunions with departed loved ones in Heaven, an afterlife, and reincarnation. This led him to a conviction about God and personal spirituality. Near-death experiences attracted his attention, as did hypnotic regression to "past-lives" and "life-between lives."
