Julie Brock

Born in 1974, Julie Brock grew up in the heart of the "80s climb up the corporate ladder" era. Her roots in Oregon kept her grounded in her need for a creative outlet. After earning her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Oregon, she traveled and lived in many places around the United States working and writing. In 1998 she returned to college and earned her Secondary Education degree and has since been working as a high school English teacher. Her first book, Banished was published in 2008 by Guardian Books. Banished has been an award finalist in USA book News Best Books. Julie currently resided in Minnesota with her husband and two sons.
