Tiffany Alexander

Tiffany Alexander began writing even before she understood what words were. While other children used their crayons to fill in pictures in their coloring books, she used hers to scribble "words." She would then run to her mother and ask, "What does this say," then run off to write another "story."

Her love for words intensified once she actually learned to read, and even to this day she is rarely seen without a book for reading or a notebook for writing.

Tiffany was born without vision and remained legally blind until she was a teenager. While reflecting on that journey, she realized that vision and sight are not the same thing. It was that revelation that led her to create Alexander Vision, a content company that develops family-friendly and Christian content. The company's first project is her coming-of-age, faith-based novel Braided In My Hair. The book is a coming-of-age tale that focuses on the life of Daisy Wray, a gifted but awkward child who struggles to understand God, the world He has created, and her role in it. Tiffany is working on her second book, Bright, a fictionalized account of her memories of gaining sight.

Tiffany is also a playwright, motivational speaker, and entrepreneur. She is an award-winning writer and editor with more than ten years experience in journalism and corporate communications. She has handled national and international stories and projects including the Saddam Hussein capture, the death of Pope John Paul II, the 50th Anniversary of the landmark Brown vs. Board of Education decision, and the rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. She also runs Tiffany Alexander Communications, a firm that provides editorial and communications services for churches and nonprofit organizations.

Her razor-sharp mind and aggressiveness are tempered by her creative and playful side. She is Director of Playwright Development for Atlanta's Sweet Auburn Theatre Co. and has a board position with the nonprofit organization E.A.R.L.Y. (Education, Arts, Recreation, and Leadership Skills for Youth.)

Tiffany is a native of Sandusky, Ohio, and a graduate of Hampton University. She currently lives in Atlanta. Visit her online at www.tiffanyalexander.com.
