Kent Hugus

I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley campus, and have the sandals to prove it. I served as a Naval Aviator and then joined Aero Commander in the manufacture of cropdusters. After several years, I migrated to IBM where I worked as a software engineer on process control applications. Tired of wearing a shirt and tie, I became a partner in a soaring school and spent five happy years teaching people how to fly gliders. Comes the small computer revolution, I dropped gliding to write a Mortgage Closing App, and then spent many years marketing that in the eastern United States. Finally retired, I moved to Park City, Utah, staying there until lung disease forced me to the low altitude of Southern California where I heard about National Novel Writing Month, wherein individuals were challenged to write a novel of more than 50,000 words during the month of November. I took the challenge and succeeded in writing 53,000 words. Hurrah. This contest had created a monster that led me to write full-time. I do hope you like what I scribble.
