Jonathan MacKinney

Jonathan MacKinney was born in St. Charles, Illinois, in 1952 and grew up in the nearby town of Wheaton. He graduated from Wheaton College in 1974 with a BA in Biblical Studies and from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1979 with a Masters of Divinity. Married to his wife Jan in 1975, they have three children and six grandchildren. Jon has pastored three churches, the latest being Chandler Bible Church in Chandler Arizona, which he planted in 1987. He is currently retired, but still involved in local church ministry and conducts seminars on the Book of Revelation around the world.

For most of his life as a pastor, Jon avoided the Book of Revelation as being too difficult to understand and preach. But when he finally tackled the project, it was a life-changing experience. He has put together a 4 hour seminar on the Book of Revelation to help people understand the critically important message of the book for all people at all times.

When he is not preaching, Jon enjoys golf, racquetball, and tennis. He is a salt-water aquarist, and he and his wife love to snorkel. Jon has also travelled extensively doing missions work, and thoroughly enjoys teaching the Bible all around the world.
