I find World War II history books engaging. They pull me into "the read" or should I say "the zone" where time appears to stand still. Not because of the blood spilling battles, but for unveiling the character of humanity. To believe that my family took part in such an event and for my father to contribute in an extraordinary way leaves me with a feeling of pride but also with countless questions. Some questions are answered in the book - The Spy Worker, others remain unanswered.
I am a certified journalist and an Applied Science Technologist in electronics. I have published various articles in sportswriting, but much of my writing experience was creating technical manuals for telecommunication companies. Today I am a Consultant in my own business. I am married with five grown-up children, three young women and two men. One of my sons has completed his second tour in Afghanistan with the Canadian Armed forces. His first tour was as an infantryman reservist with the Royal Rifles and the second tour in the regular forces. The military may have passed me by, but not my flanks (father and son).
