Most recently he discussed his book “Turkey's Entente with Israel and Azerbaijan: State Identity and Security in the Middle East and Caucasus,” at the Central Asia- Caucasus Institute/Silk Road Studies Program at the School of Advanced International Studies, SETA(Washington) and the Transatlantic Academy, German Marshall Fund in Washington, D.C. In June 2009 he delivered a seminar "The Strategic Depth Doctrine of Turkish Foreign Policy," to the Masters students' class on the contemporary Turkish foreign policy led by Alon Aliel, Tel Aviv University. He was also invited to the international seminar India and the Mediterranean Region organized by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, to take place on March 18-20, 2008. In February of this year the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation invited me to counsel a working group on Turkey. Between 2002 and 2006 has conducted research in Israel, Turkey and Azerbaijan, where he interviewed senior members of security establishment, policy makers and journalists. Since 2005 he contributes to Jerusalem Post, Baltimore Jewish Times and Azerbaijani daily Azadliq. Between 1979-1984 he widely traveled in the North and South Caucasus.
