I am a music historian who loves bringing to life the unsung heroines of music history. My passion for research has uncovered fascinating stories that deserve to be told. THE RED PRIEST'S ANNINA is a novel about Vivaldi's most famous student, Anna Girņ, and her harrowing journey to stardom in 18th-century Venetian opera. My second novel, JAZZ GIRL, takes place in 1920s Pittsburgh and is based on the mysterious and heart-wrenching events in the early life of jazz legend Mary Lou Williams. My newest novel, VIVALDI'S MUSE, expands on and continues the intriguing saga of Vivaldi's and Girņ's twenty-year professional and personal relationship. My goal in writing is to share stories based on real people and events that are entertaining, educational, and inspiring for readers of all ages.
