Ray Weisgerber

Ray Weisgerber was born in Cincinnati in 1952. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Graphic Design. He is now a professional graphic designer living in Edmonds, Washington. In addition to his career as an art director, he has built his photography skills for the past 40 years and has had his photographs published in 11 books and magazines. As a fine art photographer, he regularly shows his photographs in Northwest galleries.

Having arrived in the Northwest by the late 70s, Weisgerber witnessed the entire evolution of Seattle's coffee culture, starting with sidewalk carts and the birth of the Starbucks phenomenon. While taking numerous driving tours of the Northwest, he has encountered hundreds of the independent coffee stands that became the subject of his book, Driven to Espresso.
