Patricia Syner was born in 1957 in Beckley, West Virginia. She was one of a dozen children born to Carvell and Beulah Woods Ferguson. She has resided for the last 34 years in picturesque Edmond, West Virginia where her husband, Larry, was born. Together they have 10 grandchildren and a gray barn cat named Jaymie. Patricia teaches 5th grade and received her Master's Degree (in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Literature, Language, and Learning) in May 2009 from the prestigious Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. Her first book of Poetry, My Rose-Colored Glasses Have Bifocals is an eclectic collection of poetry.
