Deb Watson was raised in a Christian home and accepted the Lord Jesus as her personal Savior as a young teen over forty years ago. In 1974, she married her high school sweetheart, Mark, and together they raised six wonderful daughters and are now the proud grandparents of twelve grandchildren.
Deb served alongside her husband for over ten years in the Pastorate and has served in the following leadership capacities in the local church: Women's Ministry Coordinator, Youth Leader, Youth Mission Trip Coordinator, Secret Servant Leader, and Mission's Co-chair. Deb has also been involved as a Women's Bible Study Leader, Sunday School Teacher and Small Group Facilitator with her husband.
Deb is a woman of vision and has been involved at the grassroots level of several local church ministries such as "Friday Night Alive" - a community outreach program that offers an evening of Christian Music and Fellowship and "Secret Servants" - a service ministry involving seventh to ninth grade girls. Her involvement has also reached into the local community through the planning of a community wide welcome home for Missionary Richard Grover following his release from his captors in Ecuador, a community wide music concert featuring the band "Spirit of David", a neighborhood home-based outreach Women's Bible Study and several neighborhood outreaches to children.
Deb has been the keynote speaker at her home church and other churches in the community and has given devotionals on various occasions. Deb is also active as a mentor to her peers, co-workers, and younger women.
Although Deb was a stay-at-home mom for many years, she has held various positions outside the home such as Mortgage Accounts Manager, Personal Companion, Daycare Provider, Dental and Medical Receptionist and Accounts Manager.
Deb is a committed Christian who desires to handle accurately the Word of God. Others would characterize her as a leader and servant who is responsible, trustworthy, loyal, a team player, a hard worker, compassionate, generous, and humble.
Deb has recently completed her first book, "Kiss Goodbye: The Story of God's Presence in the Dark Night" an inspirational text that shares the story of her daughter's accidental death and God's amazing testimony of healing.
Deb's passion and enthusiasm for life are evident in her basic philosophy, "If you are alive, LIVE." Deb is an active member of Warroad Baptist Church in Warroad, Minnesota. She loves people and considers it an honor to serve God in any way He leads. Deb and her husband Mark reside in Warroad, Minnesota.
