Paul Gude

Paul Gude is a performance artist, cartoonist, and author living in Edwardsville, Illinois.

He grew up in the small farming community of Dorsey, Illinois (population 500) but made numerous trips to neighboring St. Louis, Missouri in his youth. After attending Edwardsville Sr. High School, he studied theatre performance, creative writing, and cognitive psychology at the University of Missouri, Columbia. While there, he was a DJ for the radio station KCOU and a cartoonist for the Maneater student newspaper.

Over the next eight years a bunch of other stuff happened, which he'll be happy to tell you about in person. He moved to Seattle, Washington in the Summer of 1998 where he performed for fifteen years at Annex Theatre's monthly cabaret as one-half of the performance duo Gude/Laurance.

In October of 2014, he returned to Illinois and became reacquainted with many of the landmarks from his childhood.

He has a wonderful family.
