Kevin Ahern

Kevin Glauber Ahern, PhD is a lay theologian who writes and teaches about the church’s social justice commitments. He is an assistant professor of Religious Studies at Manhattan College where he directs the Peace Studies program. He has published several books, including the award-winning Visions of Hope: Emerging Theologians and the Future of the Church and Structures of Grace: Catholic Organizations Serving the Global Common Good (Orbis Books, 2015). He has taught courses on Catholic social teaching at the Boston College School of Theology and Ministry and Saint John XXIII National Seminary. He is also active on the boards of several national and international Catholic social justice networks, including the Catholic Common Ground Initiative, America Media, and ICMICA-Pax Romana.
