Kim Reid grew up in Atlanta, the backdrop of her memoir, No Place Safe. She took a long and winding career path getting to her dream job, but "writer" was always her answer when asked what she wanted to be when she grew up. Since publishing No Place Safe, winner of the 2007 Colorado Book Award in Creative Nonfiction, Kim has rediscovered the fun of making things up and writes crime fiction for teens under the name Kimberly Reid. Her YA titles include the LANGDON PREP series, PERFECT LIARS, and her new spy sthriller, #PRETTYBOY MUST DIE.
