Yuval is an award-winning professor and founder of the Pillars of Wealth personal financial literacy initiative for doctors. He is a Full Professor at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, where he primarily teaches investments and wealth management courses. He chairs the Faculty Advisory Board of the Student-Managed Investment Fund, and previously served as academic director of the Flex MBA and Dual-Degree, Executive MBA, and Executive Education programs.
Yuval is the author of seven books and a former business executive with global managerial experience. He has lectured extensively in academic, government, and corporate settings and has been quoted in various media including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, Reuters, USA Today, US News & World Report, and the Los Angeles Times, among others. As an expert in investing and physician financial literacy, he is a sought-after speaker at physician wellness conferences and private events. He serves on the Investment Committee at Chestnut Street Ventures, a venture capital fund.
Yuval holds Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an engineering degree (B.Eng.) and two economics degrees (B.A. summa cum laude, M.A.) from Canada’s McMaster University. He recently completed an M.A. in Writing at Johns Hopkins University.
