Diana Holdsworth grew up hearing her Austrian grandfather tell tales of the magical City of Vienna, with its famous white stallions, and the golden-wheeled carriage of its last Emperor. She dreamed of far-away places. Too young to travel, she made up worlds of her own.
Today, her published work includes memoir, short story, and romance novels, which were translated into French, German, Spanish and Japanese. She won an Avery Hopwood Award for Undergraduate Short Story at the University of Michigan. Her draft novella, The Golden Tooth, won Honourable Mention in the 33rd Annual International 3-Day Novel Contest. Her short story, No Tongue Can Tell, was Shortlisted in the Writers' Village Best Writing Award fall 2012, a contest out of Britain.
Diana is fascinated by the light and dark sides of human nature. A favorite theme is the hard journey that the voiceless must travel to discover their true selves, speak and be heard. Today, she is working on a novella, several short noir tales of women in the Victorian Age, and a spiritual adventure fantasy in a Renaissance setting.
