Mike Cook

Mike is the founder of two companies, Vitalwork, a management development firm based in Rochester New York, which he owned from 1987 thru 2012. Most recently under the Cascade Vistage brand he has formed an advisory group for business owners. As the Chair of a local Vistage group he works primarily with business owners and CEO’s to develop and implement “communities of mutual success” which enhance overall organizational performance on very targeted issues. Mike has 25 + years experience working in a wide range of industries and working environments as a designer, facilitator, coach and project team lead on major cultural change initiatives. He also currently teaches at Western Washington University in the MBA Program focusing on Managing Organizations and People. Mike has authored the book THRIVE: Standing on Your Own Two Feet in a Borderless World . In October, 2017 his second book, Thriving in the Middle: How the Best Managers Create Mutual Success will be released and he also writes twice a month for the Bellingham Business Journal
