Sister Patricia Proctor

Hi! This is former (Sister Patricia Proctor, OSC) who after 28 years in a beautiful Catholic monastery found that I was no longer in the place I could serve God with happiness and joy.

It seems even nuns have lives that change and go into new directions. As we listen to God's voice and our own hearts we must be open to change. Because it happens. To everyone.

It's not a bad thing - parents become grandparents, our jobs change and our lives change. Who can say that the person they were at 24 is not the person they are in their 60's?

For me I entered the monastery with the belief that someday I would be called to go in a different direction. I thought it would be after six months but it took longer than that.
