M. Ann Machen Pritchard

M. Ann Pritchard aka M. Ann (Machen) Pritchard, aka Ann Pritchard is the Author/Illustrator/Songwriter of the children's books, Phil the Pill and Friends Making Positive Choices and Val's World Featuring The Family Unity Roundtable. Also, the songwriter of the song 'Drugs and Alcohol by MAMP Creations. The books were written to help encourage children to stay in school to get their education, learn how to read and make positive choices. They also teach children positive communication skills and help bring families closer together. Her new book, The Spirit of Sixteen, is based on a true story.

Her passion and mission is to encourage everyone that it is not the end of the world when things don’t always go our way. She strongly believes that if we get a good education and learn to make positive choices at an early age, we can get through more difficult challenges now and later in life.

Ann has appeared on several Radio and TV Shows including, Fox 9 Morning News, The Art Cunningham Show, Lovepower, Crossroads, Let's Learn to Get Along, Motivation with Ron Henderson, the Fitness King, WBEJ 107.9 FM and 1240 AM, KNOF 95.3 FM, KMTL760AM, the 3 minute egg dot com, Authors First, the ChildrenAuthorShow dot com, Laughter Talks, In and Out Of Sports Show for Authors Night with Coach Butch McAdams, The Chili Most Show at WVFG FM Radio, The Authors Show and The Sheletta Show on WCCO Radio 830. Also, in newspapers including, The Maywood Herald, Elizabethton Star, Johnson City Press, Spokesman-Recorder, The African News Journal and Insight News. Ann was also interviewed in the Voyage Minnesota Magazine and the Canvas Rebel Magazine. She is available to speak at schools, libraries, on Radio and TV shows or any events involving the community for positive interventions. The books were nominated in the MN Book Awards and Hollywood Book Awards. Her books have been received positively by many, including Hillary Rodham Clinton, Laura Bush and Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York.

Ann is a former Sales Representative specializing in the Advertising Specialty, Apparel, and Banner/Sign Industry. She received a Lifetime Achievement Award in Quality Excellence for 99.9% Accuracy from Trimark presented by Rivers’ End Trading Company. She received a Service Award from the Plymouth Avenue Art Studio in Minneapolis, MN. Ann is a Winner in 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading, 2013-14 Edition. She is from a family of 16 children in which they had a Gospel Singing Group, ‘The Machen Spirituals’ who sang on Radio and TV in her childhood days. In her hometown area of East Tennessee she is a former, Model, Actress, Singer and Make-up Artist. She has been in productions at the Des Moines Playhouse, in Des Moines, IA under direction of Ted Kehoe, Outdoor dramas such as ‘The Wataugan’s’ presently known as ‘Liberty’ , Nils Cruz and Lucinda Flodin, Directors and 'The Lost State: A Frontier Chronicle' C. Warren Robertson, Director in East Tennessee. Also, she has been in commercials for Tennessee Tourism and was in the Minneapolis the Movie test trailer, Peter Kelley, Director. Ann plays the role of Grandma in, ‘The Christmas You Don’t Know’, Amber Patton and Christine Clayburg Award Winning Directors. She plays the role of Lila in, ’The Wrath of Grapes’, Amber Patton, Director and the role of Grandma in Enigma Lake, Jared Elkin, Director. She is the Line Producer for ‘Enigma Lake.’ She also appeared in ‘Body Not Included, Veronica Wayne, Director and ‘Safe at Home’, Maya Montague, Director. Ann is an Extra as Pretty woman at bar in ‘Bitcon’, Matt Osterman, Director. M. Ann Pritchard plays the role of Julie (Pie Lady) in ’Joy of Horses’ and is an Associate Producer of the movie, Joel Paul Reisig, Director. She is proud to be the sister of 5 Military Veterans. Ann is the owner of an online Retail Store, MAMP Creations that sells merchandise with positive messages to help change the world. Ann has also volunteered for communities and organizations throughout the years.
