I was born in Southampton, England but grew up in a town called Brighton.
I completed my first marathon in 1990 in 4.41.05 at age 27. In eight years I improved to 2.34.43.My mile time came down to 4.21.I relocated from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz,Ca in 1990 after emigrating to the USA in 1988.In 2001, I moved with my Wife and two boys to the Jersey Shore on the East coast.
I retired from road racing in 2004 after completing 22 marathons and hundreds of road and track races. I still remain competitive as a masters track runner and from 2003-2005 made Masters All American in the 800 meter and mile distances.
In 1996 and 1997, I was the second finisher at the New York marathon from California and in 1998 was 3rd overall at the Napa Valley marathon in 2.34.43.
In 1995 I began my professional coaching career,first locally then on a regional basis and ultimately on an international basis.
I work with runners of all ages and abilities from Olympian to novice.
My mission is to help ordinary runners do extraordinary things and in helping runners to improve their biomechanics in order that they run and race with as much efficiency, strength and economy as possible.
I have the ability to help runners improve their running form for life with a number of simple changes within approximately five minutes !
