Charles D. Barrett

Charles D. (aka "CD" or "Charlie") Barrett is Peter B. Hendrix emeritus Professor of Religion at Wofford College. His most recent book, Funny Things Can Happen on Your Way through the Bible, is a product of a lifelong interest in humor in general and a career-long interest in biblical humor. Trained as a theologian at Emory and Drew Universities, his studies of Scripture and life have convinced him that God must have a sense of humor to put up with, occasionally perhaps enjoy, the antics of the creature He's graced both with laughter and with remarkable powers to produce it.
