Harold Shank

Harold Shank serves as a consultant for faith-based organizations.

In the past, he was President of Ohio Valley University, Professor of Old Testament at Oklahoma Christian University, Reviews Editor of the Christian Chronicle and preacher for the Highland Church of Christ in Memphis.

Shank is currently the national spokesperson for Network 127, an organization focused on Christian Child Care. He has a doctorate in Old Testament studies from Marquette University. Harold blogs about children and ministry on his website: www.haroldshank.com. Harold and his wife, Sally, have two adult sons, Daniel and Nathan.

His most recent books are Listen and Make Room (ACU Press, 2020), GodWorks (21st Century Christian, 2016) and Listening to His Heartbeat–What the Bible says about the Heart of God (College Press, 2009). He also wrote Loosening Your Grip (1995), Up Close and Personal – Embracing the Poor (2000), Children Mean the World to God (2001), College Press NIV Commentary of the Minor Prophets (2001), and It’s All About God (2004). Shank is also the author of over 100 journal, magazine and encyclopedia articles.
