I recently sold my home in Las Vegas in which I had raised two families over three decades. The ink was barely dry on the sale when I took my 14-year-old labradoodle, Trixie, on an epic six-month road trip that spanned 34 amazing states and put 22, 000 miles on my SUV. Surely, there will be a book there some day. Over ten years ago I penned a short sci fi story, Mothology, that is eerily similar to what the world came to know as the "covid-19 pandemic." In keeping a long time promise, I published my mother's poetry manuscript, "Strictly for Squares: A Housewife's Tale" last year: now available in the Kindle store. Rita Helen Scott was an extremely gifted writer. She was a stay-at-home mom/housewife who raised six children in the 1950's. She did most of her creative writing as time permitted: when the children were taking naps, or at school, and more often than not, late in the evening when her brood was all abed.
