Sue Dent

Sue Dent was born and raised in Mississippi and began the arduous journey of becoming a published author in 2004. Finishing her first MS in that same year, she hired professional editor Arlene W. Robinson to help her along. In early 2005, Sue self-published Never Ceese and then found a "traditional" publisher who was interested in taking on the hardback version.

Despite having this publisher, Sue continued to do most of her own promotion and publicity. She joined the Horror Writers Association in 2006. In 2006 Never Ceese made the Bram Stoker preliminary ballot for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. In 2008, Sue's first publisher went under and liquidated over 4000 books without warning.

In 2008 Sue signed a contract with The Writers' Cafe Press. In January of 2009 Forever Richard was published. At the end of 2009 both Never Ceese the paperback and Forever Richard were short-listed for a 2009 Pluto Award (speculative fiction) with Never Ceese moving on to be one of the top three finalists.

Shortly after that, Ms. Dent's second publisher went under. In 2010 Sue joined forces with Black Bed Sheet Books (founded and run by Nicholas Grabowsky author of Halloween IV and Everborn along with Red, Wet, Dirt and so many other best-selling novels) and released Electric Angel and re-released Never Ceese and Forever Richard.
