Arline Chase is the author of seven novels, five novellas, a collection of short stories, and two non-fiction books, has published more than 500 short stories and articles in national and regional magazines and, as a newspaper reporter, covered cops and courts for a Daily paper for more than five years.
Arline has received the Maryland Governor's Award, the Jim Miller Award for newspaper writing, the Dick A. Wolf e-book cover design award, and has been an EPIC Award finalist 8 times.
She taught writing for more than 25 years at local colleges and held workshops for writer's conferences on the East Coast, including conferences held at various local colleges and those held by the International Women's Writing Guild, Malice Domestic, taught a number of courses for Writer's Digest Correspondence School.
Arline is a member of the Author's Guild, the International Women's Writing Guild where she served as a past membership secretary and newsletter editor; Sisters in Crime, Romance Writers of America, the Eastern Shore Writers' Association, where she served two terms as president, edited the newsletter, and worked twice on the publications committee, once as chair; and of the The Writers' Bloc, where she has worked with the officers and members to publish two members' anthologies.
She is also the publisher at www.writewordsinc.com, a POD/e-book company that published 67 original titles last year.
