Migel Jayasinghe

Born in Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) Migel has lived and worked on three continents, Asia, Africa and Europe. He emigrated to the UK in 1963 and after a period in the wilderness acquired academic qualifications in psychology. As a chartered (occupational) psychologist, he devoted his professional life to the amelioration of disadvantage among disabled, disadvantaged, and unemployed people. He has always practised creative writing as a hobby, but after retirement and moving to Costa Blanca, Spain, he began publishing his work. Migel belongs to a local writer's group known as WordPlay Writers' Forum, and won their 'Poetry Writer of the Year Award' for 2010.
