Craig Riecke is a computer programmer currently working at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. He is the author of the Pragmatic Press book Mastering Dojo, co-authored by Rawld Gill and Alex Russell. His technical interests include programming languages, distributed systems, and information architecture.
An avid writer, bicyclist, vegetarian cook, hiker, and music enthusiast, Craig is continually pairing together the unpairable. As a child, he chain-smoked between sessions of a math contest. He published a short story of a girl who ditched a cheese sandwich in a snowbank. He used the proceeds from his computer book to take salsa dancing lessons. He listens to Sun Ra, Wire, and Astrud Gilberto.
He has been known to remark, "Making sense is for losers."
