Dennis W. Belcher

Dennis has a Ph. D. from Mississippi State University and currently lives in Jefferson City, MO. He is the author/editor of ten books on the Civil War, has published in the North & South Magazine, and made many presentations on aspects of the Civil War. In 2016, he contributed "The Judicial Ouster Ordinance of 1865" in the book - Missouri Law and the American Conscience. In March 2022, he completed the history of the Chicago Board of Trade Battery . His last work was the history of the cavalry of the Army of the Ohio.
