Stephen Gaspar is a writer of historical detective fiction. He has lived in Windsor, Ontario all his life. He and his wife Susan have twin sons and two grandsons. Stephen Gaspar attended the University of Windsor and received his teaching certificate from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
As an author Stephen Gaspar has combined his interest in history with his love of mystery/detective stories.
His most recent book Barclay of the Mounted is the memoir of a young man who, looking for adventure and glory, joins the newly formed North-West Mounted Police in 1874. Henry Barclay, a native of Toronto travels west “to keep the peace and maintain the right of all.” Barclay is an educated young man who quotes everything from Byron to The Bible, and from Shakespeare to Shelley.
In writing his historical mysteries, extensive research was done to maintain historical accuracy and integrity.
