Glenn Neely

Glenn Neely is a financial analyst and the author of Elliott Wave In Motion and Mastering Elliott Wave. He is known for developing NEoWave, an objective and scientific approach that builds upon and extends beyond the teachings of R.N. Elliott’s Wave Principle. His work focuses on Elliott Wave theory, technical analysis, market structure, and the study of wave patterns in financial markets.

Neely first encountered the Elliott Wave Principle in 1982 and became interested in its implications. Since then, he has focused his career on studying and applying wave analysis, which eventually led to the development of what he calls NEoWave.

Over the years, he worked to refine Elliott Wave theory with the goal of making it more structured and consistent. His approach outlines a step-by-step method for evaluating market patterns and forming market forecasts.

In 1988, he published Elliott Wave In Motion. Shortly after, in 1990, he published Mastering Elliott Wave, where he outlines his methodology and explains his approach to wave analysis in a systematic way. The book presents his process for interpreting market structure and applying it to forecasting. This instruction book shows readers how to:

• Understand Wave analysis in a scientific, step-by-step approach

• Objectively analyze market conditions

• Improve your market predictions

• Create more accurate forecasts without contradictory scenarios

In his work, Neely developed additional structural guidelines, pattern classifications, and analytical methods that extend the traditional Elliott Wave framework. Within NEoWave, these contributions include newly defined pattern types such as Diametrics, Symmetricals, Flats, Zigzags, 3rd-extension terminal with 5th failure, Reverse alternation, and advanced variations of triangle structures, including Neutral triangles and Extracting triangles.

Glenn Neely continues to teach advanced courses on Elliott Wave and his NEoWave approach. He also offers services focused on market analysis and trading, including a forecasting service based on wave analysis and a trading service built around his Neely River Theory.

In addition to these activities, he regularly engages with questions related to Elliott Wave and NEoWave. When time allows, he responds to selected inquiries and shares those explanations with a broader audience on his social platform, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
