William G. Perry

Dr. William Perry is a Professor Emeritus of computer information systems in the University of North Carolina System, an information security specialist and Internet publisher. Dr. Perry served as an associate research fellow with the Joint Special Operations University and was a contractor associated with the USAWC, NIU and Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

Perry has written a number of books and articles. He is the recipient of the Global Teaching Excellence Award and was twice awarded the Board of Governor's Innovative Teaching Award from in University of North Carolina system. He taught computer networking, systems analysis and design and information systems security.

Dr. Perry is a former military officer and also has counterintelligence field experience, risk analysis, and threat assessment. Dr. Perry has presented at a number of national conferences on the topic of information warfare. Perry coordinated and participated in various security-related workshops involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency and U.S. State Department.

Dr. Perry also served as editor on two books related to the intelligence community and has made national presentations on protecting critical infrastructure.
