Donald Dees

The life of Donald (Donny) P. Dees is a story of God’s infinite grace and mercy. Raised in a Christian home by Godly parents he rebelled against God at a young age. He eventually surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of 25 and entered the ministry four years later. He started as an evangelist and teacher of the Word preaching and teaching in homes, churches, on street corners, in parking lots and city parks. He held the first gospel crusade in Ghana, West Africa in many years, a country that had been closed to foreign ministers; and preached it on the same soccer field that A. A. Allen preached his last crusade in that country. He eventually moved into the prophets’ office and is the original apostle and founder of True Word Ministries, Inc.

Enormous, prolonged stress led to a “fall from grace” and a short trip to federal prison for a misconstrued internet chat incident. Suffering from clinical depression and post traumatic stress disorder Donny turned his back on God for almost ten years. But the grace, mercy and faithfulness of God was able to heal his brokenness and bring him back into the sheepfold. He endeavors to continue to do a work for God through his teaching ministry by putting his knowledge, experience and revelation of the Word into print. Donny also served honorably in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, is a certified scuba diver, and holds masters rank in Korean martial arts. He currently resides in his hometown of Pascagoula, Mississippi.
