Book #3 in the Campfire Girls series by Stewart (other titles were written by other authors previously & afterwards), first published in 1914. The plot again involves a kidnapping & daring rescue, along with competition with a group of boy scouts in which the girls prove their proficiency! In 241 pages with plain frontispiece. Hardcover book has dark blue cloth-covered boards with black lettering to front & spine. Condition is only Fair: both front & rear hinges are cracked, all pages secure. Crossed out former owner's information on ffep; name & date on rear endpaper. Else, quite clean no other writing/underlining/highlighting; not ex-lib. Pages are heavily tanned & becoming a bit brittle, commensurate with age & paper quality. NO DJ on this copy (see our listing #019581 for a copy with the DJ).
