Gary G. Brannigan

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist with many years of experience working with children with disabilities and their families. I have 2 grown children and 3 young grandchildren, all of whom are school age, and provide me with insights into current educational practices.

In July 2009, my colleague, Dr. Howard Margolis (a reading and learning disabilities specialist), and I published our first book "READING DISABILITIES: BEATING THE ODDS" for parents, teachers, and others involved in educational decision making for children. In addition, we created a blog to provide additional information and address important questions to increase the chances that parents can get their children the services they need to succeed in school and life. More recently, we published our work in 2 inexpensive Kindle e-books: READING AND LEARNING DISABILITIES: FIVE WAYS TO HELP YOUR CHILD, and NEGOTIATING YOUR CHILD'S IEP: A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE.

Remember, with knowledge comes power: parents can learn to become powerful advocates for their children!

I hope you will look inside the books and see for yourself. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
