Kirk Anderson

Kirk Anderson has been photographing the American West and favorite spots worldwide since he took a Minolta camera as collateral on a loan to his brother back in 1974. The loan was never repaid and the camera never returned. Photography to Kirk is a fine art pursuit. His recent book, Snake River Discovered, initially started as 2 year photographic exploration of the Snake River from its Source in Yellowstone National Park to the Confluence with the Columbia River in Washington State, 1200 miles later. Two years turned into four years and after many trips in airplanes, helicopters, rafts, jet boats, hikes, and road side access he ended up with this visual labor of love, Snake River Discovered - Source to Confluence.

Kirk's earlier books, Idaho Discovered, was a sold out success.

Current fine art projects have Kirk photographing "Dock, Jetties, Wharves, Piers and other interesting waterside attractions. Most recent locations have been the English coastline's Victorian Piers. An upcoming small edition Fine Art Book with a collector's print will be offered in the near future. Please check out his gallery at www.kirkanderson.com

Kirk lives in Ketchum, Idaho with his wife Hillary.
